我们选择用伽马射线辐照灭菌主要由于以下原因:
1. 伽马射线照射比电子束更具有穿透力。
3. 伽马辐射处理不会留下残留物。
4. 伽马辐射与优斯供应产品的擦拭布用材料相兼容。
5. 伽马射线照射已被证明比电子束辐照在更大程度上降低内毒素水平。(细菌内毒素或热原是引起发烧的物质,来自于革兰氏阴性细菌细胞膜的外层)。蒸汽高压灭菌并不能降低内毒素水平。

Wipes are usually sterilized by gamma radiation, electron beam, or steam.
We have chosen to sterilize with gamma radiation for the following reasons:
1. Gamma radiation is more penetrating than electron beams.
3. Gamma radiation treatment leaves no residue.
4. Gamma radiation is compatible with the material used for wiping cloths supplied by UC.
5. Gamma ray irradiation has been shown to reduce endotoxin levels to a greater extent than electron beam irradiation. (Bacterial endotoxins, or pyrogens, are fever-causing substances that come from the outer layer of the cell membrane of Gram-negative bacteria). Steam autoclaving did not reduce endotoxin levels.
